Sustainable rural development and human development enhanced by informatization under the covid-19 pandemic
The impact of population, consumption, climate change, and international trade, especially under the COVID-19 pandemic, has given rise to challenges that necessitate a sustainable food system to strengthen food security.
Transformative information technologies and innovation can advance agriculture and related models. Enabling and extending the reach as well as benefits of informatization within agriculture and value chains. Women and youth, especially in rural regions, carry immense and unrealized potential, and they can be empowered with the knowledge and use of technologies.
This project seeks to bring together policy makers, experts, targeted group of leading women and youth who can set an example and even train others in their sphere of engagement.
The project will:
1. Communicate and coordinate to identify and address regional food security challenges under the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. Collaborate on joint research for those regional food security challenges under the COVID-19 pandemic.
