On March 2nd, Deputy Director Li Hongtao and his delegation from the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (referred to as "the Foreign Economic Center") visited the Agricultural Information Institute. Liu Jifang, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Agricultural Information Institute, attended the meeting, along with relevant personnel from the Division of International Research, the Literature Resources Department, and the Center for International Agricultural Research Office. The meeting was chaired by Nie Fengying, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Information Institute and Executive Deputy Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research. Li Hongtao first explained the purpose of the research visit, hoping to strengthen mutual understanding through exchanges, leverage each other's advantages, and jointly expand new opportunities for domestic and international cooperation. He introduced the relevant personnel from the Policy Advisory Office, Information Service Office, and Project Management Office. Nie Fengying reviewed the five years of work at Center for International Agricultural Research, providing a detailed introduction to major achievements in strategic research, special reports, conference activities, model research, international investigations, and platform construction. She expressed the hope to enhance cooperation with the Foreign Economic Center and jointly promote the future vision of agricultural international cooperation. The two sides discussed issues of common concern, including international agricultural cooperation, research priorities, think tank achievements, and releases. They also explored collaboration on two bottom-line tasks in agricultural and rural work in the face of new international cooperation situations, delving into specific matters related to strategic research, platform construction, and data sharing.
