"On October 23, 2019, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, the third Northeast Asia Agriculture and Rural Development Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute") four-party meeting was held at the Center for International Agricultural Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Researcher Nie Fengying, executive deputy director of Agriculture Information Institute and Deputy Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research of CAAS, Professor Xiu Changbai, Vice President of Inner Mongolia Minzu University, Professor Kong Fanli, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and Professor Bassen Suhe, Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences , Professor Qiao Guanghua, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, and others attended the meeting.
The meeting further agreed on the institute’s operating mechanism and cooperation forms. Based on the actual demand of agricultural and rural development in China and Mongolia, representatives from the four parties have clarified research directions focusing on digital agriculture, green poverty reduction, cross-border e-commerce, women's empowerment, etc., and will work together to jointly apply for national projects. The next four-party meeting will be held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, in December 2019.
