"The Center for International Agricultural Research engages in academic exchange with students from 'China Insight Trek' at American Universities."
On December 21, commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Center for International Agricultural Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences hosted the visiting 'China Insight Trek' delegation. We engaged in discussions with nearly 20 students from renowned institutions such as Harvard University, Duke University, and Tsinghua University. Zhang Huijie, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of CAAS, and Nie Fengying, Deputy Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research and Vice Director of the Agricultural Information Institute, participated in the exchange activities.
"Deputy Director Zhang Huijie and Deputy Director Nie Fengying introduced the basic situation of the CAAS, the achievements in China's agricultural science and technology development, and the status of agricultural cooperation with other countries to the visiting delegation. The Center for international Agricultural Research also invited Bi Jieying, Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific region of the Global Forum for Agricultural Development, for an exchange and discussion with the delegation on how young people can participate in global agricultural development."
'China Insight Trek', designed and operated by the Global Forum for Youth Development, is a cross-border, cross-cultural fork exchange activities aimed at students from renowned global universities, alumni, and outstanding youth from various fields. Its main objective is to showcase the real China, convey the voice of China, eliminate misunderstandings and biases, and promote equal international exchanges.
