The Center for International Agricultural Research and Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation
"On April 22, the Center for International Agricultural Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation. Mr. Andrew Cox, Director of the International Relations and Strategic Business Department, and Ms. Lu Xinqing, Deputy Project Officer of the China-Africa Agricultural Cooperation Project, visited the CAAS. Hao Weiping, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of CAAS, and Nie Fengying, executive deputy director of the Center for International Agricultural Research met with the AGRA delegation.
The two parties held discussions on personnel exchanges, joint project applications, collaborative research, capacity building, knowledge sharing, etc. In the future, the two parties will work together to promote China-Africa cooperation in the field of agricultural technology transfer. After the meeting, the two parties formally signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation. Zhai Lin, Director of the International Organization Department of International Cooperation, Liu Jiawei, Project Officer, Wang Jing, Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research Office, and Zhang Yue, Division of International Research of Agriculture Information Institute, attended the meeting.
