Under the support of the Special Fund for Asia Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Finance and the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Agricultural Information Institute and the Center for International Agricultural Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences will host the "CICA Industrial Poverty Alleviation Model Exchange and Training Seminar" in Beijing from October 25 to 26, 2021. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation with synchronous live streaming.

The seminar is divided into two main parts: International Experience Sharing in Industrial Poverty Alleviation and Theories, Practices, and Chinese Solutions in Industrial Poverty Alleviation. For the International Experience Sharing segment, renowned international poverty reduction organizations such as the World Bank and representatives from the political, business, and academic sectors of CICA member countries will discuss the models, effectiveness, and future development directions of industrial poverty alleviation. The segment on Theories, Practices, and Chinese Solutions will invite domestic experts from research institutions and universities, young scholars, representatives from local governments, entrepreneurs, and delegates from CICA member countries (government officials, youth, women, etc.) to discuss topics such as the digital economy and industrial poverty alleviation, mechanisms and pathways of industrial poverty alleviation, and the evaluation of industrial poverty alleviation effects with typical cases.

The aim of this training seminar is to establish a platform for academic and research exchange on industrial poverty alleviation among CICA member countries. Through thematic discussions on the mechanisms, models, experiences of industrial poverty alleviation in CICA member countries, and the specific case of industrial poverty alleviation in China, the seminar aims to promote the sound development of industrial poverty alleviation among CICA member countries and foster cross-regional cooperation in industrial poverty alleviation.
