On July 5, 2023, the CIAR team visited Ningbo Weilan New Energy Co., Ltd. (Ningbo Weilan) for a survey on the internationalization of agricultural technology. The delegation was accompanied by Lin Lizhong, the General Manager, and Xu Shaohai, the Deputy General Manager of Ningbo Weilan. The research team conducted on-site visits to the photovoltaic irrigation equipment production workshop, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Ningbo Weilan's production and operation as well as the application scenarios of agricultural technology.

Subsequently, during the discussion session, both parties exchanged experiences related to the internationalization of agricultural technology. They extensively discussed mechanisms, platforms, and the current status of projects concerning international cooperation between agricultural technology and industries. In-depth discussions were held on collaborative approaches for agricultural outreach in key regions such as Sino-African cooperation and China-ASEAN cooperation.

In the next phase, the two parties plan to explore specific work plans based on international agricultural research and industry layout. Leveraging the research platform resources of CIAR and the product advantages of Ningbo Weilan, we aim to implement the strategy of dual circulation—both domestically and internationally. This collaboration aims to construct a promising new scenario for the internationalization of agricultural technology.
