The "2022 Youth Hackathon for Reducing Food Loss and Waste" Held a Public Training Session
The "2022 Youth Hackathon for Reducing Food Loss and Waste," jointly organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative Office in China, Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Center for International Agricultural Research, and the Global Agricultural Development Youth Forum, has entered the training phase. On September 15-16, the organizers meticulously arranged a public training session for the shortlisted participating teams. Ten experts and scholars from organizations such as FAO, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), World Resources Institute (WRI), PureLeap, Model APEC, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Agricultural University, Academy of National Food Strategic Receivers Administration, and Henan University of Technology shared their insights and experiences on topics such as the current status of food loss and waste, initiatives and tools to reduce food loss and waste, climate change and food loss and waste, business incubation logic, presentation skills, and food loss and waste in production, processing, storage, and consumption. Deputy Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research, Nie Fengying, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. In addition, from September 20 to 30, the organizers will provide one-on-one coaching for the shortlisted teams. During this period, senior coaches will offer detailed consulting guidance to the 25 participating teams.
