On March 13, 2019, a delegation of 20 members from the UK Global Business Innovation Program (GBIP) China Agricultural Technology Delegation, visited the Agriculture Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences under the leadership of the Department of International cooperation of CAAS. Fifteen agricultural science and technology innovation enterprises conducted exchanges with researchers from Agricultural Information Institute.

Mr.Glen Noble, Deputy Director of the UK National Research and Innovation Administration in China Division, introduced strategic vision of the UK National Agency for Research and Innovation strategic and its approach in promoting cooperation in research and innovation. He reviewed the cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and hoped that the two sides would have more projects on the basis of the current good cooperation.

The researchers of the Agricultural Information Institute introduced to the delegation the research results in the fields of animal and plant phenotyping, agricultural robots, digital orchards, intelligent apiculture and so on, and showed the recently developed digital treasure products. Five UK companies introduced the company's main businesses, core technologies and products. The two sides exchanged views and discussed the potential technical cooperation needs."
