ASEAN Plus Three Industrial Poverty Alleviation Model Exchange and Training Seminar
Combating poverty is a shared mission for the development of human society. To promote learning and exchange of poverty alleviation models among member countries of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and to introduce China's practices, experiences, and achievements in industrial poverty alleviation, the Agricultural Information Institute and CIAR held the "CICA Industrial Poverty Alleviation Model Exchange and Training Seminar" on October 25-26 in Beijing. Representatives from 14 CICA member countries and some African countries attended the conference to discuss the insights of China's industrial poverty alleviation experience for global and CICA country poverty governance. The spirit of mutual respect and learning was emphasized to promote cooperation in poverty reduction and development.
Nie Fengying, Deputy Director of Agricultural Information Institute and Executive Deputy Director of the Center for International Agricultural Research of CAAS, pointed out that in advancing the global poverty reduction cause, summarizing different countries' industrial poverty alleviation models, exchanging and learning within CICA member countries, and promoting the application of successful industrial poverty alleviation models are of significant practical value in advancing poverty reduction efforts among CICA member countries.
