Ms. Liu Xiyan is a graduate of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and is fluent in English and Japanese. She joined the Agricultural Information Institute (AII) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in 2023, where she currently serves as the CPM (Scientific Communication Department) Team Leader. With a background in foreign-related intellectual property, she brings a blend of legal, business, and scientific expertise to her role in managing international cooperation and scientific communication initiatives.

In her current position, she is responsible for the strategic direction of scientific outreach and communication, managing high-profile international projects and partnerships. She actively plays a role in coordinating global collaborations, driving cross-border initiatives in areas such as agricultural development, low-carbon innovation, and international training programs. Her efforts are focused on enhancing CAAS's global visibility and fostering international knowledge exchange.

Liu is also responsible for the development and execution of communication strategies, including managing of CAAS’s English website and overseeing the production of promotional materials for international audiences. Her work ensures that CAAS’s scientific achievements and collaborative projects are effectively communicated to a global audience, strengthening the institute’s position as a leader in international scientific cooperation.
