Dr. Jieying Bi joined the Agricultural Information Institute (AII) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in 2010, and now is the Deputy Director of the International Division. She is the Coordinator of Asia and Pacific Region of Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and the Coordinator of Agricultural Technology Sharing Working Group for G20 Meetings of Chief Agricultural Scientists (G20-MACS).

Dr. Jieying Bi, Director of the General Office, Center for International Agricultural Research of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CIAR of CAAS). Researcher on poverty alleviation and rural development policies. Her research on poverty measurements was the first comparative research undertaken between income poverty, expenditure poverty, and multidimensional poverty with household data of rural China. Dr. Bi has published over 40 papers and one monograph on poverty reduction. Her research covers poverty standards and dynamics, vulnerability and inequity, and poverty alleviation strategies. She has successfully led more than 40 projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation and China Association for Science and Technology, IFPRI, FAO, IPRCC, JICA, YPARD, Ford Foundation, among others. She has been the recipient of “Outstanding Young Researcher”, and has been supported by the Youth Talents Project of AII, CAAS. She is the Coordinator of Asia and Pacific Region of Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and the Coordinator of Agricultural Technology Sharing Working Group for G20 Meetings of Chief Agricultural Scientists (G20-MACS).
