Sun Tan, professor, doctoral supervisor, Vice President of CAAS, and Director General of CIAR. Engaged in long-time research on digital information description and organization and led over 10 national and provincial-level research projects. Published more than 80 academic papers and have been the chief editor and contributor of 7 scholarly writings. He was awarded the special allowance by the State Council in 2005 and the title of "National Excellent Science and Technology Worker" in 2014. He was selected for the Youth Talent Program of CAAS in 2016 and a Leading Talent in Agricultural Science of CAAS in 2018.
